Abyangam (Herbal medicated massages)
Provides relaxation to the body & tranquility to the mind. It alleviates stress, discomforts & pain caused by hormonal changes in mothers.
Kashaya Dhara (herbal decoction treatment)
The therapy consists of a continuous stream of warm medicated liquids to the body parts. This relieves the skin, muscle and uterus from the inflammatory toxins.
Podikizhi (Hot fomentation treatment)
Each session lasts for 1 hour. The herbal therapy and massage help relieve postpartum musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pain. The herbal oil helps skin rejuvenation and scar healing, restoring your skin’s youthful glow.
Veshtanam (Abdominal bandaging)
The new mother’s belly is wrapped with a long cotton cloth after the daily massage prov. This supports her back and abdomen, helps ‘Vata‘ homeostasis in uterine cavity, preventing backache and sagging of belly post-delivery. This also helps in maintaining a good posture. (After a cesarean delivery, ‘veshtanam‘ is done only after the scar heals)
